Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of this site?

This site was created to help players (with Android phones & tablets) more easily find games that can be played with a gamepad controller.  This isn't normally a feature which can be searched for on the Google Play or Amazon App Stores.

Is there a mobile app?

Of course!  From the free mobile app, you can sort by gamepad type, and download directly from Google Play with a touch.  Download from Google Play here.

Am I required to use a gamepad with these games?

Not at all!  All of these games are designed primarily to not require gamepads.  Gamepad use is an optional enhancement.

How do I use a gamepad with my phone or tablet?

There are primarily two ways:

  1. Connect a wired Xbox controller to the USB port of your Android device, with a mini-USB adapter. (Might work for other USB controllers as well)
  2. Connect a wireless Bluetooth-enabled controller to your device

Can you give some examples of Android-compatible gamepads?

Sure-- with one caveate-- I am not endorsing these gamepads personally!  Purchase and use at your own risk.
